So… in case you’ve been hiding under a rock, or are new to my blog, you won’t know that I’m selling my apartment.
It’s officially listed and online but nothing’s really happening until my open house this coming Saturday.
I’ve said time and time again the thing I’ll most miss are my views – the main reason I bought this place.
I’m not getting too excited about a sale as my previous place was on the market two separate times (before selling in less than a week the second time around). But here’s a pic of my slightly-crumpled flyer!
And wait there’s more…
The kitchen / living space. I attempted to declutter, but it still looks too busy!
The (never seen before) ‘wet room’ for soggy swimsuits and sandy towels. Kind of a wasted space if you ask me!
My bedroom, taken from the walk-in-robe and ensuite.
(Desk removed from corner and replaced by a calming lounge chair!)
The
reading room bathroom and missing from the pic is a stool which sits near the bath to house the book I’m reading (and post-it notes and pen).
So… will you cross your fingers for me, that: 1) my place sells quickly and with little trauma; and b) That I find something else that captures my heart.
How much would YOU miss my views?!
I’m linking up with Trish from My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday.

Why are you selling Deb?
May 4, 2016
Keen to move into a house Liz. Need a third bedroom (for my study!).

You must be moving to somewhere extra special to leave this beauty. I don’t think you’ll have any trouble selling.
Thank you for linking up.

Hi Trish… nothing selected yet and I won’t rush into anything. There are a couple of places I like… one too big and one too small. But… I’ll wait until I see if there’s any interest re mine!

I would miss those views. I love where your bed is situated in the room. I like the idea of a wet room and needed one when my kids were growing up with our pool. My poor dining room floor took a beating. Best of luck for a quick sale.

Yes, the wet room is a bit wasted on me, but probably ideal for a family or for this place as a short term rental with holidaymakers (which I’m sure is what the builders were thinking when it was built).

I love your views! I would definitely miss those! Your body corporate issues sound like a massive pain though not to be missed!

It’s my third apartment Jess, so probably time for a house!
May 4, 2016
I hope it sells quick for you and you find something great that will rival that view!
May 5, 2016
Oh me too Alicia!
May 5, 2016
What a gorgeous home! I can’t believe your selling. But then again, you will find something equally gorgeous to make your own.
May 5, 2016
I hope so Leanne. I guess at least I’m not desperate…. IF it sells I can stay with my mother for a little while or rent something.
May 5, 2016
I will keep my fingers crossed for a quick and easy sale. It’s a beautiful space and the view is stunning. I can see why it appealed to you.
May 5, 2016
It was a lot smaller than my old place Katherine, so that’s something I struggled with in the beginning but have gotten used to it. Mostly!
May 5, 2016
I would struggle to give up the views but as it will be onto something better for you, it’s the right thing to do. Good luck for Saturday!
May 6, 2016
Thanks Emma. I won’t be here of course but I’m just hoping someone turns up!
May 6, 2016
Fingers crossed for you and hope it all works out. Moving can be stressful but also liberating, and finding the right place is a great feeling. I would miss the view though. 🙂
May 6, 2016
Thanks Greg. I’ll miss the view as well. Very much so. I think the challenge will be not rushing into something IF this place sells, but making sure it feels right. Fingers crossed on all counts!

Crossing fingers and toes Deb as I know you are keen to ‘move on’ and especially to get the selling process done. Best of luck this weekend for the first open. Denyse x
May 7, 2016
Thanks Denyse. The agent tells me he’s had no queries, so….

I almost feel like emigrating and snapping it up but the kids would have to find somewhere else to live! Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Heather!

I love the look of your place, views especially! But that bathtub would be the biggest hook for me. Twice I almost bought houses with that kind of bathtub, but my own house didn’t sell quickly enough for the escrows to mesh. Yikes!
Well, sometimes things happen for a reason, I guess. Enjoy and good luck on the sale!

Thanks Laurel. The first place I bought (back in 2001) didn’t have a bath. At the time I decided I’d get one put on but I was there 3yrs and never got around to it. (I’ve previously lived overseas for years without a bathtub, so I ‘know’ I CAN do it!) 😉
However, now a bath is imperative. Life’s too short etc etc…
