Everyone is doing the obligatory 2013 wrap-up posts or 2014 goal-setting or resolutions’ posts so I feel equally inspired to create something.
Okay… well, that’s not true. (Perhaps less sarcasm could be a 2014 goal?!)
Anyhoo, while many still focus on the negative and difficult stuff when developing their resolutions, I personally like this approach from The Design Blog which is all about MORE of the good stuff.
I don’t drink tea and am not particularly fond of roadtrips… but you get the drift.
I’ve actually noticed that others’ goals are more focussed on self-love, gratitude, kindness and forgiveness etc than the old rigid and overly-ambitious resolutions. Do you agree?
Do you have resolutions or goals for 2014?

I am going to try to do some sort of exercise once a week, not much I know….. But better than the last few years!!

Hey there. I guess you run around a lot after kids… so that’s probably been enough. Suspect it’d be nice to do something ‘for you’ in terms of exercise though!

Resolutions or as my friend calls them, “plans”, do seem less ambitious and slightly more edifying this year – perhaps people are coming out of the narcissistic phase?!
I like your (The Design blog) list – it’s fun and probably achievable. Tea is my middle name (after red wine) and I adore a road trip (legacy of a country childhood) and more sleep is mandatory (but rarely accomplished)…
My own ‘resolutions’ are about character improvement: I resolve to be more tolerant and less gossipy, thereby inhabiting a world full of serene karma. I was excellent yesterday until someone annoyed me, then was very tempted to be intolerant and gossip about them!
Happy New Year, Debbish 🙂

Yes… I’m sure we could all focus on things like tolerance etc as a ‘goal’ for the year!

Love love love your list…

Isn’t it great?!?

I didn’t set up any resolutions this year and I’m not sure if my monthly focus (#wycwyc) can be called one. (See, I’ve finally learned to use hashtags!!).
I think getting more sleep is a resolution people should have more often! I could definitely use more fun, but it’s probably not possible for me to eat more tea than I already do.
I’m lusting after your pictorial categories widget. Is it a plugin?

It’s a slider (Promoslider I think it’s called). I’m about to merge Diet Schmiet into this blog so preparing for it.

All I can say is please don’t give up sarcasm. It’s one of the many reasons that I like you.

Hee hee! 😉

I love the idea of plans – but the execution? Dreadful on my part!
