I seem to be constantly uploading posts on Saturdays and Sundays though I claim to NOT blog on weekends. (Who said I’m not a woman of my word?!)
Today’s non-post is really all about promoting my guest post over at Rebecca’s site, Weight Wars.
I’ve done a couple of guest posts for blogging communities but this is the first time another blogger has invited me to do one. So… thanks Rebecca! As she’s a Brit, she requested something with a bit of Aussie flavour. However, when I sent the post I sent an alternative as I was worried this one may well alienate many of her blog’s readers. Surprisingly she was keen to run with this it… so here you have it:
Skippy – not just a national treasure!
In other news, I decided – at the last minute – to pop ‘home’ to visit my mother this weekend. It was four months exactly yesterday since my father passed away and she sounded a bit down. It’s only 300km, but as I hate driving I rarely make the trip, relying instead on her regular visits, or my less-regular train trips to my hometown.
Any-hoo, despite my hatred of all-things-shopping she and I ventured into a local grocery store today. I did – I must confess, ponder very briefly on some chocolate and the like, but then I came across this. A chocolate-lover’s definition of HEAVEN!
And even more tempting!!!!!
You’ll be pleased to know I refrained…. Have a lovely weekend!

Ho.ly. Crap! You are a woman with an iron will to pass that by! Maybe those huge displays can work in our favor…just looking at it all makes me think about eating it all, which makes me immediately think of how absolutely sick I would feel. (Physically even, not just the guilt factor!) Hmmm…maybe there’s something to visualization? Actually, I just read an article about imagining eating something will help you resist the craving. Wish I could remember the science behind it.
I hope you have a nice visit with your mom!

Thanks (re the visit, I head home tomorrow, so it’s fleeting!). I think the excessive amount of eggs was quite off-putting. A bit TOO overwhelming!

Oooh well done on passing up the koalas…I saw them the other day too, and I tend to agree with you that these early Easter displays are a tad overwhelming…have somehow managed to avoid my other big temptation – chocolate hot cross buns. xo

They come out so early. I often start eating easter eggs in February and don’t finish until after the post-Easter sales are done!
