Fall by Candice Fox is the third instalment in her series featuring detectives Eden Archer and Frank Bennett. Fox’s award-winning debut, Hades, published in January 2o14, achieved a myriad of acolades here in Australia. And rightly so.
Book review: Hades
I read Candice Fox’s second book, Eden, before reading her well-received debut novel Hades. Everyone I’ve met who’d read Hades RAVES about it. As I’ve mentioned before I’m loath to read Australian crime fiction / mysteries / thrillers so continued to avoid it until the opportunity to preview Eden presented itself.
Book review: Eden by Candice Fox
I haven’t read Candice Fox’s first book Hades, but I’ve heard a lot about it. I’ve confessed before that I rarely read Australian books – particularly crime fiction. I suspect it’s combination of things but predominantly because I read to ‘escape’ and would far prefer to be taken to the dark corners of London or alleys of New York City than the salubrious streets of down-town Brisbane (for example!).
However, I’m really really glad I got the chance to read Fox’s second book Eden.
