I’m behind with my reviews and not allowed to do any more reading until I catch up… so yesterday I attempted a video review.
Brad Parks’ Closer Than You Know is well paced and kept me guessing for much of the book. The legal procedural possibly rushes the closing a bit more than I’d like but it hooked me enough to read in a sitting.

I had wanted to do this video in one-take (mainly cos I don’t know how to edit stuff) but realised I gave away a bit of a spoiler so had to cut a sentence or two out of the middle.
On re-watching the video – which I’ve only done once or twice (cos, ugh!) – I lisp and blink a lot. I possibly also should have made an effort and put on some makeup. Or used better filters. (Note to self: learn how to use filters!)
Closer Than You Know by Brad Parks was published in Australia by Allen & Unwin and is now available.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher for review purposes.
